Founded in 1972, Indian Society for Applied Behavioural Science (ISABS) is a national, non profit voluntary society of behavioural scientists engaged in applying their knowledge and skill to the well being of persons, organisations, communities and the society at large.
It’s members work as independent consultants, trainers, counsellors, academicians, human resource managers, line managers, executives and community change agents.
ISABS offers a host of services in the domain of Human growth, Organisational Development and Social Development. ISABS programs focuses on human processes and aim at helping people to understand themselves & others better and discover more creative and satisfying ways of relating and working. ISABS utilises T-group and experience-based learning as its main training methods. ISABS is the only organisation in India which offers accreditation in T-group facilitation.
The T-group programmes (BLHP & ALHP) focuses on building competency in personal effectiveness and making it available for organizational and societal growth and development. The story of ISABS is also the story of OD (Organization Development) in India. From the late 1960s, pioneers in the field of OD in India were developing programs for Internal Change Agents and Facilitators.Today many current ISABS Professional Members are leading practitioners of OD in India and abroad.
